NSBE Code of Conduct

The National Society of Black Engineers of South Africa (NSBE-SA) is a registered Non-Profit and voluntary membership organization established in 1998. Our mission is guided by a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and the advancement of our communities.

Central to this mission is our Code of Conduct, which establishes the essential ethical and professional standards for all our members. This Code is built on fundamental pillars that include:

  • Holding paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public.
  • Performing services only in areas of personal competence.
  • Practicing with honesty, objectivity, and truthfulness.
  • Acting as faithful agents or trustees to employers and clients.

All NSBE-SA members are expected to familiarize themselves with the full Code and adhere to these principles in their academic and professional endeavors, thereby enhancing the honor, reputation, and usefulness of the engineering profession.
